The Associate Pastor Nominating Committee has recommended, and the church unanimously approved their recommendation, to call the Rev. Dr. Christie Gravely as our Associate Pastor. I am beyond thrilled about what God has in store for us next here at Highland and to begin working with Christie. She will begin her time with us on April 7th, which is not very far away.  

In the meantime, there is much for her and her family to do as they say goodbye to one church family: pack, move, unpack, and prepare to begin life in the midst of another community and church. During this time, I ask that you daily lift Christie and her family up in your prayers. Prayer for smooth transitions, for peace, for finding the right house, and all that comes with these sorts of moves.

We are excited to have Christie and her family, and I know they are excited too - so let's cover the next few weeks in prayer for them!
