Rev. Chip Stapleton

Senior Pastor

Chip is honored to be serving in ministry with Highland for a second time, having been ordained into ministry here in 2007, after spending 15 years in full-time youth ministry (serving churches is PA, CT and IL). Prior to rejoining Highland as senior minister, he spent 8 years leading a multicultural church outside of Boston, MA. Chip is joined by his wife, Traci, and their four boys: Charlie, Jack, Ian, and Henry. Chip received his undergraduate degree (History) from Westminster College, and completed seminary at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary after beginning his studies at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He also has a certificate in Youth and Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary and is currently completing his doctoral work in the Leadership and Global Perspectives program at Portland Seminary.

Jen Jammer

Director of Children's Ministry

Jen serves as the Director of Children’s Ministry and Faith and Fitness Coordinator. She is originally from Essexville, Michigan where she later graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Education. She taught 1st and 3rd grade in North Carolina for eight years then received her Master’s degree in Mathematics from East Carolina University. Jen’s wonderful and supportive husband, Brian, is also from Michigan. They have a preschool age son named Mack and a daughter named Harper who was born in early 2018. Jen loves working with the kids and adults of HPC and is glad to help your family become a part of our church family.

Christopher jackson

Director of Youth & Worship Ministries

Christopher and his wife, Jennifer, are natives of Fayetteville, and have been serving together in ministry since they first met in Youth Choir at the age of 15. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Church Music from Lee University and a Master’s in Worship Studies degree from The Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies. Christopher loves sneaking away to the mountains any chance he gets whether with the family or on a motorcycle, and playing with his 2 boys, Walker and Wyatt, who make sure mom and dad never take themselves too seriously. Christopher is usually in the office from 8:45am-4:45pm unless ministry responsibilities call him elsewhere.

Pam Langston

Director of Traditional Music Ministry & Organist

Pam grew up in a military family and has directed church music programs in the Carolinas and Italy. She studied both music and art at Winthrop University before answering a call to music ministry as a vocation in 1984. Pam studied church music at Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest and at Virginia Wesleyan University’s Center for Sacred Music. She and her husband, Paul, have a son, Kent, (Boston) and a daughter, Jane, (Chapel Hill). 

Kelli Lujan

Publications/Communications

Kelli grew up in North Carolina and graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications. She lived in Germany for a few years, then Maine before moving back to North Carolina in 2002. She began her ministry at Highland in 2007. Kelli enjoys palling around with her husband, Alex, helping to save the world with her son, Sam, (who is attending Virginia Tech), and playing with her goat, Daisy! Feel free to stop by Kelli’s office if you need to share information with the church. Her office hours are generally Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm (give-or-take).

Keely DeBoever

Membership and Volunteer Coordinator

Keely serves as the Volunteer & Membership Coordinator. Keely attended UNC Charlotte for her undergraduate degree and then went on to attend Gardner-Webb University's School of Divinity, where she received a Master's of Divinity in Biblical Studies. She has served in the local church since 2005, working in Children, Youth, and Family Ministries. She also teaches Religion Classes online for Catawba Valley Community College. Keely and her husband, Sky, moved to the Fayetteville area in 2019 with their dachshund, Starbuck. Keely is usually available in the office Monday-Thursday from 9:30am-4pm and either Sunday or Friday. 

Richard Boyer

Security Supervisor

Richard, his wife Tammy, and their dog Codys have lived in Angier for almost 20 years & he has has been a staple at HPC for over 30 years. Need something...anything, done? Richard is more than capable. He troubleshoots problems and quickly comes up with solutions. Highland's go-to-guy, for sure. He is on site 6 days a week, and always willing to help.


Jermaine Young

Kitchen Manager

Menus, food, preparation, cooking! That's Jermaine's area of expertise. He oversees the daily needs of the kitchen as well as plans for our regular meals and special events (Maundy Thursday Seder Meal, Sunday Lunch), making sure we are well-fed. Jermaine also prepares snacks and meals for the Highland Learning Center. Need to contact him? Call 910-401-0934.
