FOOD PANTRY

Our Food Pantry program is the longest standing ministry at Highland. For over 40 years, we have worked to address food insecurity in our community by providing access to healthy foods. Each Thursday from 10:00-12:00, we serve an average of 250 households through two distinct supplemental food programs. The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), a government assisted program coordinated through the Second Harvest Food Bank, follows specific income eligibility guidelines for participation, while the regular food pantry of Highland does not have eligibility requirements.

With a team of dedicated volunteers, we pack bags and boxes nearly every Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Numerous volunteer opportunities within the program exist throughout the week, including Thursday mornings during our regular food distribution.

If you would like to volunteer with the food pantry, please contact Jen Jammer at 989-447-3489 for more information.
