Each Thanksgiving morning, we gather to thank God for His many blessings (Psalm 100) by serving our community. In partnership with 15 other churches and organizations across Cumberland County, we prepare and distribute individual Thanksgiving meals to those in need.
Our Thanksgiving Meal program began at Highland in 1992 and is still going strong. Each year, volunteers from HPC and across the county come together to prep, cook, and assemble over 2,000 meals for our neighbors. Planning begins almost as soon as the previous year’s effort ends, ensuring this ministry continues to bless those in need.
There are many ways to get involved—adopting turkeys, donating pies, volunteering your time, or helping on Thanksgiving Day itself.
Please check back for volunteer signup as the big day draws near!
